Darryl just simply gets it right – and more. His manner with the students commands the utmost respect from them: like any effective teacher, his manner is friendly and puts students immediately at ease, but he is able to establish firm boundaries which means that students know where they stand and what is expected of them at all times both socially and in terms of musical development. Darryl will ensure progress at a level that is specifically differentiated to suit his student.
Overall, he is professional in the extreme, can always be relied upon to “go that extra mile” and is a delightful and valuable addition to a peripatetic team within a school at all Key Stage levels. Having been a Head of Music in a successful secondary school for many years, I would be hard pushed to find someone equal, let alone better.
